Basketball Recap: Seven Straight Road Wins for STX

With a playoff win on the line, STX rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They managed a 57-53 victory over the Lapeer Lakers Homeschool Lakers. The win was familiar territory for the Saints, who have now won three contests in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead STX to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caedmon Williams, who posted 16 points and three steals. Williams has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Lucian Lopez, who shot 54% from the field on his way to 16 points and six rebounds.

STX was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They are 26-12 when they've passed the ball that well.

STX's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 27-15. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.1 points over those games. As for Lapeer Lakers Homeschool, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 22-11.

As of now, neither STX nor Lapeer Lakers Homeschool have any future games scheduled.
