Softball Recap: Honeoye Bulldogs vs. Caledonia-Mumford Raiders
Honeoye and Caledonia-Mumford squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Honeoye had to settle for second. They fell 15-12 to the Caledonia-Mumford Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Honeoye of the 20-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2015.
For Caledonia-Mumford's part, Malina Bellos was incredible, scoring two runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Lynn, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, a triple, and an RBI.
Honeoye's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Caledonia-Mumford, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-5.
