Volleyball Recap: Defiance Comes Up Short

If Defiance was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Bath on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs came up short against the Tinora Rams on Saturday, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Rams from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Defiance was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 25-11.

Isabella Rowlison paced Defiance's offense, picking up 12 kills. Rowlison were helped by Keira Kohn and Elliana Gomez, who contributed six assists each. Finally, Khloe Siler kept Defiance's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Defiance's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Tinora, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-2.

Defiance wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Celina on the 6th. As for Tinora, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Paulding on the 7th.
