Preview: May River Sharks vs. Myrtle Beach Seahawks
The May River Sharks are on the road again on Friday and play against the Myrtle Beach Seahawks at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd. May River will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 108th, while Myrtle Beach is ranked 27th).
Last Friday, May River narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Hilton Head Island 9-6.
Meanwhile, Myrtle Beach can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 56-21 victory over North Myrtle Beach at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for Myrtle Beach.
May River's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Myrtle Beach, their win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-2.
May River couldn't quite finish off Myrtle Beach when the teams last played back in November of 2022 and fell 24-21. Can May River avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
