Baseball Recap: Workman Comes Up Short

Workman lost to La Puente back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lobos fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 6-5. The Lobos just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Workman's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for La Puente, their win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Workman will host Bassett at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for La Puente, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Edgewood at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
