Football Game Preview: Humboldt Wildcats vs. Algona Bulldogs

The Humboldt Wildcats will head out to face off against the Algona Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Friday, Humboldt came up short against Webster City and fell 21-14.

Meanwhile, Algona and MOC-Floyd Valley were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but Algona suffered a 14-13 defeat. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 3-2. As for Humboldt, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Humboldt skirted past Algona 21-19 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
