Softball Recap: Sullivan Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Sullivan, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They never let the Altamont Indians get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Monday. The Redskins haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Not much got past J'Nai Webb, who gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Altamont off the board. Webb has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

Sullivan's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Altamont, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Coming up, Sullivan will venture away from home to face off against Clinton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sullivan's pitchers better be ready for this one: Clinton has averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Altamont, they will take on Cumberland at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Altamont is facing Cumberland at the right time seeing as Cumberland is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
