Recap: Northeast Guilford Rams vs. Eastern Guilford Wildcats
Even though the Eastern Guilford Wildcats scored an imposing 57 points on Friday, the Northeast Guilford Rams still came out on top. Northeast Guilford pulled ahead with a 58-57 photo finish over Eastern Guilford. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Northeast Guilford also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Jackson Hester was a one-man wrecking crew for Northeast Guilford as he scored 27 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hester has scored all season. Aaryn Tate was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six assists and three steals.
Northeast Guilford's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Eastern Guilford, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northeast Guilford will face off against Southern Guilford at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southern Guilford will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak alive. As for Eastern Guilford, they will head out on the road to square off against High Point Central at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
