Baseball Recap: Lackawanna Falls to Cleveland Hill in First Game of Season

Lackawanna unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Cleveland Hill Golden Eagles on Tuesday, falling 9-2. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

The win got Cleveland Hill back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lackawanna will face off against Western New York Maritime Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cleveland Hill, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Alden at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
