Baseball Recap: Boise Comes Up Short

The matchup between Boise and Borah on Thursday hardly resembled the 3-0 effort from their previous meeting. Boise came up short against Borah, falling 14-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Brave of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Calder Hansen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Bo Schaaf was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Boise's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Borah, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Boise wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-4 victory against Caldwell on the 14th. As for Borah, they have also already played their next matchup, an 11-1 defeat against Bishop Kelly on the 15th.
