After a string of five wins, Virgin Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were the victim of a tough 63-38 defeat at the hands of Democracy Prep Agassi Campus. Virgin Valley found out winning isn't easy when you make eight fewer threes than your opponent.

Meanwhile, Mater Academy East Las Vegas can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They blew past Eldorado 71-44 at home. With Mater Academy East Las Vegas ahead 43-19 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Virgin Valley's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-9. As for Mater Academy East Las Vegas, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.
Virgin Valley ended up a good deal behind the Knights when the teams last played back in January, losing 69-52. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Mater Academy East Las Vegas' Lonnie Bass Jr., who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds.
