Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Poquoson). They walked away with a 55-44 victory over the Jamestown Eagles on Monday. This was a revenge game for the Islanders: when they faced off against the Eagles two weeks ago, they had to take a 39-38 defeat.

Poquoson's win bumped their record up to 2-14. As for Jamestown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Poquoson and Jamestown could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. Poquoson will challenge Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday down 202 places (360 vs. 158). Poquoson is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Similarly, Jamestown (ranked 301st) will meet Bruton (ranked 117th) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
