Recap: Kennedy Catholic Lancers vs. South Kitsap Wolves

The Kennedy Catholic Lancers struggled with three-point shooting accuracy on Saturday (the South Kitsap Wolves were 30% better) and sadly the final score reflected it. Kennedy Catholic took a 39-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Kitsap.

Kennedy Catholic's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addie McDonough, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that McDonough grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Kathryn Schroeder, who scored seven points along with three steals.

South Kitsap got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kamdyn Hagerty out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Degarimore, who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds and six blocks.

Kennedy Catholic has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for South Kitsap, they pushed their record up to 11-14 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.

Kennedy Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Kitsap, they will head out on the road to face off against Emerald Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully South Kitsap focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday.
