Football Recap: Springwood Skates Past Heritage Christian Academy with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Springwood). They blew past the Heritage Christian Academy Eagles 55-18 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wildcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Springwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but James Do led the charge by rushing for 133 yards on only six carries. Do's longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another back making a difference was Tucker Sides, who rushed for 96 yards.

Springwood didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Adam Baltes and Remington Gauntt.

Springwood picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Heritage Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
