Preview: Stargate School Eagles vs. Thornton Trojans
The Stargate School Eagles will square off against the Thornton Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Stargate School humbled Bruce Randolph with a 73-24 victory. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-9.
Among those leading the charge was Hunter Roark, who scored 18 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Dylan Perkins, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Thornton earned a 46-33 victory over Skyview on Tuesday.
The win makes it two in a row for Stargate School and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Thornton, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Stargate School was able to grind out a solid win over Thornton in their previous meeting back in November of 2021, winning 50-42. Will Stargate School repeat their success, or does Thornton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
