Dixie County extends road winning streak to five

Recap: Dixie County Bears vs. Lafayette Hornets
The Dixie County Bears came tearing into Tuesday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 39-26 victory over Lafayette. This was payback for Dixie County, who suffered a 42-32 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Lafayette's loss came despite strong showings from Sophia Kendrick and Kelby Lyons. Kendrick scored six points along with 13 rebounds and three steals, while Lyons scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Dixie County pushed their record up to 9-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Lafayette, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Trenton the next time they take the court. Lafayette will host Trenton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Dixie County will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
