Softball Recap: Cayuga Takes a Loss

If Cayuga was riding high fresh off their 30-0 takedown of Tyler last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cayuga Wildcats came up short against the Pollok Central Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 12-3. The loss was the Wildcats' first of the season.

Cayuga saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kennedi Kroll, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cayuga fell to 2-1. As for Pollok Central, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Cayuga will face off against Chester at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pollok Central, they will be taking part in a tournament against Woden at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pollok Central's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Woden's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
