Football Game Preview: Quabbin Regional Panthers vs. Oxford Pirates + Official Tickets

The Quabbin Regional Panthers will take on the Oxford Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Quabbin Regional duked it out with West Boylston/Tahanto on Friday. The Panthers took a blow against the Lions, falling 48-3. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 215th, while the Lions are ranked 63rd).

Meanwhile, Oxford got themselves on the board against St. Paul on Saturday, but St. Paul never followed suit. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 34-0 win over the Knights. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Pirates just coasted through the last quarter.

This is the second loss in a row for Quabbin Regional and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Oxford, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.
