Softball Recap: Gabrielino Comes Up Short

Gabrielino was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors, falling 25-9.

Sophia Guerrero made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Jarquin, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Gabrielino's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

Gabrielino has already played their next game, a 16-6 loss against Rosemead on the 11th. As for St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 15-4 defeat against St. Genevieve on the 10th.
