Volleyball Recap: Brighton's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Brighton's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Riverdale Ridge Ravens, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since November 2, 2024.

Brighton was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-18, 24-26, 25-23, 15-6.

Codi Jackson paced Brighton's offense, picking up 13 kills. Jackson got some help from Kenna Von Ah and her 18 assists. Von Ah and Jackson didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with four apiece.

Brighton's victory ended a six-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7. As for Riverdale Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Brighton has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Fairview on the 29th. As for Riverdale Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Westminster on the 30th.
