Basketball Recap: Hatboro-Horsham Hatters vs. Quakertown Panthers
The Hatboro-Horsham Hatters can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 58-46 win over Quakertown. For Hatboro-Horsham, this counts as revenge for the 59-48 loss the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Ryan Smith was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Shane Phillips was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Hatboro-Horsham's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-16. As for Quakertown, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hatboro-Horsham will take on the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Cheltenham is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games. As for Quakertown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Galloping Ghosts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
