Volleyball Recap: Henry Clay Blue Devils vs. Althoff Catholic Crusaders

Henry Clay saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Althoff Catholic Crusaders.

McAllister Millar paced Henry Clay's offense, picking up eight kills. Millar got some help from Jonny Pineda and his 16 assists. Clayton Mangione controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Nolan Karban was the offensive standout of the game as he had eight digs and two aces. That's the most aces he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Henry Clay's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Althoff Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Henry Clay will square off against Bryan Station at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Henry Clay is facing Bryan Station at the right time seeing as Bryan Station is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Althoff Catholic, they will face off against Belleville East at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Belleville East will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Althoff Catholic surely won't give up without a fight.
