Basketball Recap: Alpena Takes a Loss

Alpena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 60-39 to the Traverse City Central Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while the Trojans are ranked 72nd).

Alpena's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Traverse City Central, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.

Coming up, Alpena will be playing in front of their home fans against Harbor Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Traverse City Central, they will take on Grand Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
