Basketball Recap: Grace Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Grace Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 51-13 loss at the hands of the Tri-Point Chargers. The Crusaders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-4.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Kaitlyn Jorgensen and Lanie St. John, who each put up four points. St. John also led the team in rebounds with six.

Grace Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Tri-Point, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Grace Christian Academy and Gardner-South Wilmington will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 5:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Tri-Point, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Ridgeview at 10:00 a.m. on January 4, 2025.
