Recap: Seffner Christian Crusaders vs. Windermere Prep Lakers
The Seffner Christian Crusaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 80-43 loss at the hands of Windermere Prep. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Seffner Christian has scored all season.
Windermere Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brandon Bass Jr. led the charge by dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Bass Jr. has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. Malachi Martis was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Seffner Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Windermere Prep, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seffner Christian will take on George Jenkins at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. George Jenkins will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 570th, while Seffner Christian is ranked 228th). As for Windermere Prep, Windermere Prep and Windermere will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
