Baseball Game Preview: Potts Camp Cardinals vs. Hickory Flat Rebels

Potts Camp hasn't had much luck against Hickory Flat recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Cardinals will be playing at home against the Rebels at 6:00 p.m. Potts Camp will be strutting in after a victory while Hickory Flat will be coming in after a loss.

It was a proper cat-fight when Potts Camp challenged North Panola on Tuesday. The Cardinals blew past the Cougars 17-4. Considering the Cardinals have won six games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Hickory Flat was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 12-4 to Potts Camp.

Cason Paul made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Potts Camp has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Hickory Flat, their loss dropped their record down to 0-18.

Potts Camp took their victory against Hickory Flat in their previous meeting on Monday by a conclusive 12-4 score. Do the Cardinals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rebels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
