Baseball Recap: Matanzas Comes Up Short

Matanzas was the 6-2 winner over Atlantic when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Matanzas lost 14-3 to Atlantic on Tuesday. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Matanzas' loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Atlantic, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Matanzas wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-4 defeat against Flagler Palm Coast on the 13th. As for Atlantic, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-5 win against Mainland on the 12th.
