Shelley hasn't had much luck against Blackfoot recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Russets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Broncos at 3:30 p.m. Shelley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
Blackfoot will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Shelley extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Russets skirted past Preston 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Russets have posted since March 14th.

Carlie Hurd was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Blackfoot faced Bonneville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Broncos put the hurt on the Bees with a sharp 15-6 win. The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.
Brianna Reynolds made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma McGuire, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Sela Christiansen, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5.
Blackfoot was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bonneville only posted a batting average of .241.
The victory made it two in a row for Blackfoot and bumps their season record up to 10-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Shelley, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Shelley hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Blackfoot struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.9 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
