Basketball Recap: Arkoma's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Arkoma had to endure a 19-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Gans Grizzlies 55-31 on Friday. The Mustangs' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

Arkoma's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Gans, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arkoma will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Union Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Gans also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against McCurtain at 8:00 p.m. on January 14, 2025.
