Football Recap: Anthony Hawkins' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Trenton over Carlson + How To Watch

Trenton easily dispatched Edsel Ford last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Trojans fell just short of the Carlson Marauders by a score of 17-14 on Friday. Surprisingly, this marked the Trojans' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Trenton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Hawkins, who rushed for 105 yards on only nine carries. Hawkins' longest rush was for an impressive 52 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Tyler Crook was another key rusher, gaining 111 total yards and a touchdown.

Izaiah Wright continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Carlson, rushing for 112 yards and one touchdown. Noah Latzy was in the mix as well, providing the Marauders with one score.

Trenton's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Carlson, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Trenton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 24-7 defeat against Milford on the 26th. As for Carlson, they have also already played their next matchup, a 48-8 victory against Taylor on the 26th.
