Hercules couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Encinal Jets on Friday, falling 42-14. The Titans' loss continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row dating back to last season.
Alexander Marston was a one-man wrecking crew for Encinal as he rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also picked up 82 receiving yards and a touchdown. Marston got the majority of those yards when he pulled down a pass and and took off for a gain of82 yards.
Hercules will square off against Saint Mary's at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Encinal, they will face off against Archie Williams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
