After a string of nine wins, Waukee's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Northwest Wolves by a score of 67-64. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (62), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Waukee's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3. As for Northwest, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.

Waukee will look to defend their home court on January 31st against Ankeny Centennial at 7:45 p.m. Waukee knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully Ankeny Centennial likes a good challenge. As for Northwest, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ankeny at 7:45 p.m. on February 3rd.
