Volleyball Game Preview: Steinbrenner Warriors vs. Sunlake Seahawks + How To Watch

The Steinbrenner Warriors will head out to square off against the Sunlake Seahawks at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Steinbrenner is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Lakewood Ranch, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since September 13th.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Steinbrenner got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-27, 25-18, 23-25, 16-14.

Meanwhile, Sunlake made easy work of Sickles on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Seahawks have beaten the Gryphons the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Gryphons has come to flipping the script.

Sunlake never let Sickles on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-11, 25-23.

Steinbrenner's record now sits at 16-8. As for Sunlake, their record is now 20-7.

Steinbrenner might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Sunlake in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
