Baseball Recap: South Adams Takes a Loss

South Adams was the 8-6 winner over Monroe Central when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Starfires fell 18-13 to the Golden Bears on Monday.

Jax Wanner was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of South Adams' success: when he posts at least three hits the team is 2-1 (and 3-16 when he doesn't). Kayden Prince also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

South Adams' defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Monroe Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Adams will challenge Eastbrook at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Monroe Central, they will face off against Randolph Southern at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
