Basketball Recap: Ludlowe Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Ludlowe couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 70-58 to Fitch on Thursday.

Leading Fitch to victory were Xavier Goode and Si'Kis Reels. Goode went 7-for-14 to rack up 20 points in addition to seven assists and seven boards, while Reels shot 70% from beyond the arc on his way to 25 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Reels a new career-high in shooting accuracy (73%). Another player making a difference was Malakhi Sabb, who posted 13 points and five rebounds.

Ludlowe's defeat dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Fitch, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Ludlowe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fitch, they will take on McMahon at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in McMahon's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests.
