Soccer Game Preview: Rock Hill vs. Ironton

The Rock Hill Redmen will square off against the Ironton Fighting Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Rock Hill and Fairland meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Redmen fell 2-0 to the Dragons. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Rock Hill couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Ironton's offense. They lost 4-0 to Fairland on Thursday. Ironton have struggled against Fairland recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Rock Hill's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Ironton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.

Rock Hill skirted past Ironton 1-0 when the teams last played last Wednesday. Do the Redmen have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Fighting Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
