Basketball Recap: New Salem's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

New Salem had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 51-40 win over the Killdeer Cowboys on Monday. For the Holsteins, this counts as revenge for the 74-62 victory the Cowboys walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

New Salem's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9. As for Killdeer, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

New Salem will take on Garrison at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Killdeer, they will venture away from home to take on Hazen at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hazen will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Killdeer surely won't give up without a fight.
