Baseball Recap: Blue River Valley Vikings vs. Union County Patriots
After only one run in their last contest, Blue River Valley made sure to put some runs up on the board against Union County on Friday. The Vikings walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Patriots. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.

Dominic Pass was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Blue River Valley is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 3-6 otherwise. Pass was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Evan Blackburn was a standout: he went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Blue River Valley is 4-2 when Blackburn posts two or more runs, but 2-4 otherwise.
