Basketball Game Preview: Northview Wildcats vs. Union Red Hawks

The Northview Wildcats will venture away from home to challenge the Union Red Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Northview's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.

Last Friday, Northview earned a 55-48 victory over Ferndale. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Eagles are ranked 220th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Union ended up a good deal behind NorthPointe Christian two weeks ago and lost 55-37. The Red Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Union's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Northview, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Northview took their victory against Union in their previous meeting back in February of 2021 by a conclusive 61-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northview since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
