Basketball Game Preview: Julian Jaguars vs. Harlan Falcons

The Julian Jaguars will head out on the road to square off against the Harlan Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Julian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.

On Tuesday, Julian didn't have too much trouble with Corliss as they won 69-52.

Meanwhile, Harlan won against Urban Prep-Bronzeville/Urban Prep-Englewood on Tuesday with 63 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Harlan snuck past Urban Prep-Bronzeville with a 63-59 win. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by exactly four points.

The victory was the third in a row for Harlan, bringing their record for this year to 4-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Julian, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Julian didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Harlan when the teams last played back in December of 2021, but they still walked away with a 71-66 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Julian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
