Softball Recap: Lockport Porters vs. Lincoln-Way East Griffins
Lockport faced Lincoln-Way East in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Porters blew past the Griffins 7-1. Winning may never get old, but the Porters sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Kelcie McGraw made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 18 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.
McGraw wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Lane, who went 2-for-3 with one run.
