Basketball Recap: Eight Straight Home Wins for Caldwell

Caldwell had won seven straight home games dating back to last season and Carter Wheeldin did his part to make it eight on Saturday. Everything went the Caldwell Redskins' way against the River Pilots as the Caldwell Redskins made off with a 54-28 victory thanks in part to Wheeldin, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 19 games he's played dating back to last season.

Another player making a difference was Brayden Erb, who posted four points. What's more, he also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in February of 2024.

Caldwell's win bumped their record up to 13-0. As for River, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6.

Caldwell will be playing in front of their home fans against Waterford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Caldwell is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.9 points per game this season. As for River, they are taking a road trip to face off against Shenandoah at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
