Basketball Recap: LEAD Academy Takes a Loss

LEAD Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 72-31 loss at the hands of the Pearl-Cohn Firebirds. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 342nd, while the Firebirds are ranked 165th).

LEAD Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Pearl-Cohn, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-7.

Looking ahead, LEAD Academy will challenge Stem Preparatory Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. LEAD Academy is facing Stem Preparatory Academy at the right time seeing as Stem Preparatory Academy is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Pearl-Cohn does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
