Basketball Recap: Cedar View Christian Seahawks vs. Mount Pisgah Christian Academy
Cedar View Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 40-23 fall against Mount Pisgah Christian Academy. The Seahawks were probably out for revenge after losing 52-38 to them when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Mount Pisgah Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Jesalyn Howard, who went 6 for 10 on her way to 22 points in addition to eight boards and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Howard has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Foster, who posted four points in addition to 14 boards and five assists.
Cedar View Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Mount Pisgah Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
Cedar View Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Chuckey-Doak at 6:30 p.m. on December 17th. As for Mount Pisgah Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-19 victory against Temple Baptist Academy on the 7th.
