Jordan fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Hillcrest Huskies 23-21. The Beetdiggers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Huskies, too.

Dylan Suthar threw for 244 yards and two touchdowns. Jaydon Griffith was his top target, picking up 97 receiving yards. On the ground, Jersey Alvillar rushed for 66 yards.

Despite the defeat, Hillcrest saw an underclassman step up: K'Von Houston threw for 291 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 50 yards. Those 291 passing yards set a new season-high mark for Houston. Bradyn Whetsel was another key player, picking up 137 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Jordan's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-7. As for Hillcrest, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Jordan's road trip will continue as they head out to face Desert Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Desert Hills will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Jordan surely won't give up without a fight. Hillcrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
