Softball Recap: Jonesville Takes a Loss

Jonesville managed to slip by Manchester the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Comets lost 12-4 to the Flying Dutchmen on Wednesday. The Comets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Flying Dutchmen apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Jonesville and nudges their season record down to 5-10. As for Manchester, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 5-11 record.

Coming up, Jonesville will venture away from home to square off against Hudson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Manchester, they will square off against North Adams-Jerome at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.13 runs per game on average), something the Flying Dutchmen will no doubt try to take advantage of.
