Volleyball Recap: Hinsdale Central Comes Up Short

Hinsdale Central lost against Bolingbrook back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Red Devils fell 2-0 to the Raiders. The Red Devils just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-14.

Hinsdale Central's offense was headlined by Bjorn Vinje and Dane Beringer, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Harry Hughes and his 14 assists. He was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Hinsdale Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Bolingbrook, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hinsdale Central will face off against Glenbard West at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hilltoppers will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Red Devils surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bolingbrook, they will square off against Oswego East at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
