Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Clover Garden School

Clover Garden School had won three straight games and Hanna Tickle did her part to make it four on Wednesday. The Clover Garden School Grizzlies strolled past the Cornerstone Charter Cardinals with points to spare, taking the game 36-18 thanks in part to Tickle, who posted 24 points in addition to six boards and five steals. The contest was her 11th in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Carly Little, who scored seven points and eight rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played.

Clover Garden School has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.0 points per game. As for Cornerstone Charter, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

Clover Garden School is taking a road trip to take on River Mill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for River Mill: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Clover Garden School has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road. As for Cornerstone Charter, they will welcome Carver at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Carver's defense has only allowed 27.6 points per game this season, so Cornerstone Charter's offense will have their work cut out for them.
