Basketball Recap: Lincolnton Find Success

Lincolnton's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 38-29 win over the West Caldwell Warriors. That's more bragging rights for the Wolves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lincolnton found their leader in sophomore Nyla Johnson, who posted 14 points. Justice Smith was another key player, putting up seven points.

Lincolnton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for West Caldwell, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Lincolnton will welcome East Burke at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. East Burke is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.9 points per game this season. As for West Caldwell, they will challenge West Lincoln at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Caldwell is facing West Lincoln at the right time seeing as West Lincoln is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
