Basketball Preview: Imagine School at North Port Sharks vs. Bradenton Christian Panthers

Imagine School at North Port is 1-9 against the Panthers since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Imagine School at North Port Sharks will head out on the road to face off against the Bradenton Christian Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.

Even though Imagine School at North Port has not done well against the Bulls recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Imagine School at North Port walked away with a 61-54 victory over the Bulls. Winning may never get old, but Imagine School at North Port sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Imagine School at North Port's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Angelo Blas, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Blas hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Jj Hall was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.

Meanwhile, Bradenton Christian didn't have too much trouble with the Ascenders at home on Friday as they won 60-42. Given Bradenton Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Ascenders are ranked 353rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Imagine School at North Port's victory bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Bradenton Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-7.

Imagine School at North Port might still be hurting after the 81-57 defeat they got from the Panthers in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Imagine School at North Port avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
